Your LumaClear experience begins with a thorough double cleanse to prepare your skin.
Next, we apply a thin antimicrobial solution to the treatment area for maximum light penetration.
As the IPL handpiece glides over your skin, bursts of broad-spectrum light are delivered deep into the dermal layers. Do I need more than one treatment to see results?
While you’ll see noticeable improvement after just one session, many clients may need more than one treatment to see complete elimination of spots or redness.
We have options of of 3-6 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart that will achieve optimal results. It is also a good idea to get an annual maintenance treatment which can help prolong benefits.
Does this treatment hurt?
Most clients experience a warm, snapping sensation during the treatment, which is generally well-tolerated. A cooling device helps minimize discomfort. But hurt? Not at all!
Is there downtime since this a laser treatment?
Nope, you can return to normal activities immediately after LumaClear with minimal to no downtime! Some clients may experience slight redness or darkening of pigmented areas temporarily but that goes away quickly.
When will I notice a difference?
Initial results like improved tone and clarity may be visible immediately after your first treatment. Continued improvement occurs over the following weeks as the body’s collagen rebuilding process takes place.
Spots treated will darken first (look like coffee grounds) usually within 4 days. They will then start to fall off which is basically how your browns and sun start to disappear.
